I visit a lot of conservative blogs daily, including Pamela Geller's blog "Atlas Shrugs" (
www.atlasshrugs.com). She had a post on her blog today about one of her readers finding a cookie that had been installed on her computer from the white house. I checked my hard drive and found the same cookie installed on my computer. After doing some tests, I found the following:
- The white house cookie gets installed as soon as you visit Pamela's site. I deleted i…

ABC News Sunday estimated the crowd in DC on Saturday at 60,000 people, or about enough to fill a football stadium. According to Michelle Malkin's blog, the DC police estimated it at about 1.2 million people, or twenty times the size of ABC's estimate.
And Gibb's comment on Friday about being unaware of Saturday's event is hilarious. Consider how "dangerous" of a mob the Tea Party movement is supposed to be, according to the nutroots in DC. How clueless would you have to be to not even be aware…

The Drudge Report and other sites now have the text of the One's speech to kids. It is fairly harmless, other than being egocentric - count all the times he says "I" or "me" or "mine" for fun if you like. But my kid is still not going to hear it.
What makes anyone think that this is going to be a one-time event? Once the MSM decides that this was truly inspirational, or merely harmless, then it will become an annual event. No one ever tries to win over the hearts and minds of another in a singl…

I don't care what the talking heads on TV say about how innocent it is for Obama to address the schoolchildren. I don't care if he only talks about being good and studying hard. My daughter won't be listening. How long will it be before it's an annual event? Once we get used to the One talking to the kids, the message will change, even if it is oh-so-innocent now. How long until it reads, like his "autobiography," as if it was written by Ayers?
My daughter's school is allowing kids to opt out.…

Today I went to the Recess Rally in Johnstown, PA, which is Congressman Murtha's main office in his congressional district. There were only a handful of protesters there today, but many of the people riding past waved, honked their horns, or gave us a "thumbs up" when they saw that we were protesting Obamacare. We were also interviewed by a reporter from WJAC-TV, the local television station.
We did not see Mr. Murtha while we were there; the office was closed.
Coincidentally, today I received…

Today I received an email from Senator Casey, one of Pennsylvania's two senators. Previously I had emailed Senator Casey asking him when he would be holding town hall meetings on health care, as I wanted to voice my opinion on this vital issue.
The Senator replied today. His email reply had a time stamp of 11:30 AM.
The infuriating thing was, the meeting he was informing me of was held at 9:45 AM, almost two hours
before the email was sent. This is nothing but insulting - to let me know…

The Belmont Complex in Kittanning, PA, was the site of a town hall meeting this afternoon with Arlen Specter. There were already a couple of thousand people waiting in the parking lot to get in when I arrived an hour-and-a-half early. The crowd against Obamacare vastly outnumbered (I'd estimate about 10-to-1 based on those standing near me) those for it, though there were a few pockets of pro-Obamacare folks there in SEIU and other union shirts. Most of those present seemed to be retirees. The y…

Specter and Sebelius got an earful from the taxpayers at a town hall meeting in Philadelphia today. They were soundly booed, as these videos show:

Specter will be appearing throughout Pennsylvania in August - we need to make sure that he gets the same reception everywhere he goes, and hears it from every single person there that Obamacare needs to be flushed.

Yesterday I posted that Claire McCaskill was holding a town hall meeting in St. Louis about health care reform. I want to thank all of the patriots that showed up at that meeting and let their voices be heard. Here are two links to videos of that event. The first shows the reaction when it is said that this meeting was a chance to hear from "those that are opposed to the healthcare reform or who have some serious concerns with it." The applause is deafeningly loud and goes on and on:

If you live in the St. Louis area, please consider attending this event tonight!!
From Gateway Pundit:

After the incident at her office on Friday, July 17, 2009, Senator McCaskill has arranged for her district director, Michelle Sherod to meet with constituents at a town hall meeting Monday night. AFPMO will be moderating the meeting and Ms Sherod will be taking questions for the Senator.
The specifics of th…

Sometimes I wonder if I should even bother contacting my Congresspeople. I live in southwestern PA. My senators are Mr. Specter and Mr. Casey, and my representative in the House is Mr. Murtha. I have emailed them on many issues, and every time I get a reply, it seems to be a form letter telling me they are going to the exact opposite of what I would want.
Case in point: I recently emailed them with my reservations regarding Judge Sotomayor's nomination to the Supreme Court. I just got a reply f…

I live near Pittsburgh, PA, but this weekend I'm visiting my brother in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Before I came out here I checked to see if there a Tea Party nearby. Well, we went to the Tea Party in Huntington, Indiana. There were about 300 patriots there, with some great speeches, especially the last speaker. I didn't catch his name, but he was a local schoolteacher and radio talk show host, and he spoke very eloquently. I was also happy to see the large number of little kids there with their pare…

Have you contacted your Senators about Cap and Tax yet? While it has already passed the House, the sooner we get on our Senators, the better. Don't be allayed by reports that there may not be sufficient support in the Senate to pass this. We must still act to prevent this from becoming law. Believe me when I tell you that I know how frustrating it can be to try to convince our lawmakers to represent our interests (being, as I am, in PA, with Senators Specter and Casey, and Representative Murtha…

Well, despite burning up the phone lines, the cap and tax bill made it through the house. Next up is the Senate - we have to redouble our efforts if we are going to prevent this monstrosity from becoming law.
I know my rep (Murtha) voted for it - but I still want to know who the 8 GOP reps were that voted for it. I will be sure to support whoever runs against them in the 2010 primaries.
