About Me

I am so excited to be part of Smart Girl Politics. I was involved in politics on a national and local level in my "previous" life; I even worked for a President at one point. But I sat on the sidelines for far too long. After the 2008 Presidential campaign, I felt compelled to take action and have my voice heard. I am a Catholic, pro-life, free market, small government, strong national defense conservative. And I will do everything I can to make sure we center-right folks get the representation we deserve!

As you may know, Smart Girl Politics began as a blog (authored by Stacy Mott) and later morphed into a coalition of conservative women (and men!) organizing to take back our communities. Teri, I had to ban someone today. I wish it didn't have to happen but he was causing lots of trouble in the group and one gal left (we did coax her back and she did come back) and then he went after me. You can check out my page and see the comment he left if you wish. I just don't want to see him go after everybody with his nastiness and cause the group to fizzle.

I'm glad you've joined though. It's awfully nice to have you in Smart Girl Catholics! Happy Independence Day Teri!:)

I feel policies are being shoved down our throats. I live in Albuquerque and would like to know if we have an active group here of either SGP or Smart Girl Catholics? New Mexico is in a state of crisis with regards to health care and people do not even realize it. My husband is a surgeon and I am a nurse. The shortage of physicians and low reimbursements are driving doctors out. The fear of what is to come is making a bad situation worse.
