Congressman John Fleming (Louisiana physician) has proposed an amendment that would require congressmen and senators to take the same healthcare plan they force on us (under proposed legislation they are curiously exempt). The speaker a Vet, Radio host and patriot spoke to us about standing up for our freedoms and making our voices heard. Apparently the title aroused the FBI. I'm so excited to announce that I am the District Coordinator for the 6th District! I will be sending out weekly email updates to keep us all focused on staying involved in our community as well as in national policies.

Before I get into this week’s focus, please send me a private message with an email address for you other than through SGP. Meetings will be set up with Meeting Wizard and I need an email address to correspond with you that will support Meeting Wizard. SGP’s email does not.

I know this is coming out late, but I just received confirmation on Tuesday that I am officially the 6th District Coordinator. Did I tell you I'm excited about that? LOL

Focus:

1. Continue the word about the Parental Rights petition. You may have read about this on the Bluegrass Kentucky forum.

With the help of Sue and other Smart Girls in Kentucky, we are pledging 10,000 signatures! Here's how you can help:

---Sign the petition and then forward the link to 20 people. Ask those people to then forward the petition to 20 people.

---Spread the word on Facebook, Twitter, etc., ask folks to visit the link and sign the petition in your status page.

---Email or call your local church and ask if they can put a message in the bulletin or discuss it with their congregation.

---If you are a member of any group such as Bible study where you may meet on a regular basis, enlist those folks to sign the petition

---If you have other ideas on how to spread this message, post it on the forum and let others know.

2. The membership drive is still active and we need your help to build the Kentucky Group! Enlist One (1) woman to become a member of Smart Girl. Check out the Bluegrass KY group page for more information.

3. Upcoming events: May 23, Freedom Rally in Frankfort. Please attend or spread the word about this event.
