Say goodby to Email privacy

This alone is bad enough, combine it with the cybersecurity act of 2009 and it reads like something straight out of Orwell.

Obama anti-Democracy Czar exposed … Barack Obama’s nominee for “regulatory czar” has advocated a “Fairness Doctrine” for the Internet that would require opposing opinions be linked and also has suggested angry e-mails should be prevented from being sent by technology that would require a 24-hour cooling off period. The revelations about Cass Sunstein, Obama’s friend from t… Continue

34,000 scientists cant be wrong

This conference took place March 8 -10, 2009. I'll bet you didn't hear a thing about it in the news. http://www.heartland.org/events/NewYork09/index.html
34,000 scientists signed onto the very extensive report that shows that rising carbon dioxide levels are not harmfull, and in fact may be just the opposite. Here's the conclusion to the report.

There are no experimental data to support the hypothesis that increases in human hydrocarbon use or in atmospheric carbon dioxide and oth… Continue

The "green" obsession

Obsessions are never good, period. We are obsessed with "green". It's ubiquitous and universally good, like the word "child" was a few years ago when adding the word to any piece of legislation or to any idea made them imune to criticism and guaranteed them virtually unlimited funding.

There's a cruel irony in the word too, and if you haven't caught on to it yet, you will soon. Environmentalism is expensive, outrageously, unprecedentedly, unnecessarily expensive. I am not suggesting that we ret… Continue

Hi David - welcome to SGP! Just wanted to agree with you on the "green" obsession. The more I look at it and how people behave, the more it seems to be a pseudo-religion... It's really weird how all of these people fall into line and blindly follow along - not even really understanding why they are doing what they are doing.

tv karaoke... hahaha. i agree with you about the rockstar president. i read a blog some time ago that brought up the fact that this last political race was primarily about style over substance. The blogger even had a link to a Howard Stern episode where his street guy asked several different people if they were voting for Obama or McCain. They all said Obama. Then the street fella asked if they agreed with what Obama stood for using McCain's plateform. Of course, the peoples loved whatever it was that was said as long as Obama's face was fronting it. ::sigh::
