Despite what the media and those leading our nation today keep shouting to the heavens, "That There Is Not God but Us", just because you continue to say something over and over again doesn't make it so...AND to their own peril. This country was founded by God fearing men and women who respected and gave homage to our Lord and Savior. They truly took that leap from religon as an institution (which is what had become the status quo in europe) to seeing a relationship with God as personal, in the here and now, and ever growing. They applied these very principles of personal accountability and into everything that they did to birth this nation.
Yes-there needed to be a government-but in order to be as 'free' as man/woman could possibly be-individuals needed to be accountable to themselves, for themselves, and to each other.
Our founders new that it was the individual striving to go beyond his/her personal potential and made the collective great.
