Janet Contreras (AZ-4) Janet Contreras has been an inspiration to members of Smart Girl Politics for well over a year. Janet, a wife, mother, and businesswoman, was tired of watching the fight from the sidelines. She started speaking out in 2009, but like many conservative women felt that her voice was not being heard. In Congress, Janet will fight for the citizens of Arizona and our country. She believes in strengthening our border security, gun owners’ rights, and returning unused TARP and Stimulus funds back where they belong in the pockets of the American people.

Ruth McClung (AZ-7) Ruth McClung has lived the American dream by putting herself through college and becoming a rocket scientist. She believes in that American dream so much that she is fighting to keep it alive with her run for Congress. Ruth stands for personal responsibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic. Liz Carter (GA-4) Liz Carter was a member of Smart Girl Politics before deciding to run for office. She stepped up to the plate to run when others would not. She will be a strong advocate for change in Congress. Liz is a business woman. She has real life, practical experience managing budgets and running a successful small business and over 18 years of executive experience that will help her make educated, thoughtful decisions. Renee Ellmers (NC-2) We are pleased to offer our endorsement of Renee Ellmers, who is running against Bob Etheridge in North Carolina’s Second Congressional District. Renee’s background in health care and her experience as a small business owner, make her the right person for the job at this crucial time in both North Carolina’s and our nation’s history. Renee knows that we, the people, are tired of being pushed around by our representatives in Washington, D.C.. Michele Bachmann (MN-6) Smart Girl Politics is pleased to offer our endorsement of Michele Bachmann’s reelection bid in Minnesota’s Sixth Congressional District. Although she has only been in Congress for four years, Congresswoman Bachmann has made a great impact nationally through her outspoken efforts to reign in an overreaching Federal Government. She is a tireless defender of the U.S. Constitution and passionate champion in Washington, D.C., for her constituents. In short, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann is a true smart girl. During her time in Congress, we have seen Congresswoman Bachmann fight hard against federal bailout programs, to bring an end to frivolous lawsuits aimed chiefly at small businesses, and been a vocal skeptic of climate change. She has never backed down from a fight, and instead has mobilized and motivated conservatives to join her in fighting against healthcare reform and frivolous spending. She is a leader. The people in Minnesota’s 6th deserve her, and the rest of the country needs her.

Anna Little (NJ-6) Smart Girl Politics views Anna Little as a woman who stood up to the establishment and won. As a Mayor and in her role as Freeholder, she has a proven track record of reducing spending and strategizing to encourage economic growth. Anna has worked in support of limited government and fiscal responsibility throughout her career in public service. Her ability to bring change to her community, while also balancing her role as a wife and mother, is a big part of what our organization believes in. We see her as our ideal Smart Girl. She will stand up to twenty two years of big government, big spending, and big bureaucracy and be the representative in Congress that New Jersey’s 6th District deserves.

Martha Roby (AL-2) a true champion against wasteful spending and an advocate for government reform. During her time on the Montgomery City Council, Martha Roby fought hard against tax increases, run away government spending, and illegal immigration.
