Cap and Trade Scorecard

One of the worst pieces of legislation in recent history, "cap and trade," has been passed by the House and now heads to the Senate. Voting is expected to take place September 18th, so there is time to make your voice heard: tell your Senators to vote NO to cap and trade.

UPDATE: Senate committee deadline has been extended to Sept. 28th. The Democrats do not have enough votes to get this passed. Keep up the pressure!!

Cap & Trade will drive up the prices on everything. It is based on the most bogus science ever and is a huge power grab for liberals in gooberment. This is a great resource for gaining a perspective on how bogus the Global Warming Hoax really is.

Here's the bill the House passed. I have read a good portion of it and knowing details of what is in it has been extremely helpful when defending my position against Cap and Trade. A friend of mine who has read it herself was talking to a repair man that came to her house. He said that only new structures would be required to have the energy efficient rating. She was able to educate him to the fact that they are proposing that existing homes and buildings will be required to be retrofitted in order to receive the energy efficiency rating. He was quite angry.

Here's a pamphlet a science writer in Australia put together debunking the idea of human contribution to global warming and proving that cap and trade is worse than useless... it's power grabbing. http://joannenova.com.au/globalwarming/the_skeptics_handbook_2-22_lq.pdf

Anyone voting yes on cap and trade should be ashamed and especially the people who represent the midwest , this bill will hurt that region the most! It's not even common sense to pass something like this, it hasn't worked in ANY other country!

I don't understand why some people don't see that the people in Congress and Companies that support this aren't doing it for the environment, it is ALL about how much money they will make.
Carla Cunningham Comment by Carla Cunningham on July 17, 2009 at 3:19pm
I agree Karen.....someone should tell them by all means, make all the money you can this term. If this passes there won't be a second term. ; )

How can so many people be so gullible? This is purely and simply, a new tax. Money raised will be frittered away- much of it to finance U.N. "projects". Here's my take... http://www.stillfreetochoose.wordpress.com ( video interviews and commentary)

This is another form of rationing...this time it's energy. I suspect there is much corruption behind this bill...General Electric for one could make billions on their "green technology".
Helene Comment by Helene on August 16, 2009 at 10:03am
General Electric owns NBC. This is why they are not really reporting on anything that's really important and necessary to talk about. NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN are all fleecing America on the healthcare, cap & trade and anything else that's coming out of the White House these days. I heard it's because the reporters have gag orders on them and death threats to keep quiet. I also heard a rumor that Tim Russett's heart attack was really purposefully made because he was an honest man and realized the truth. Mind you, that's just a rumor, but it makes you wonder.

The energy bill will not cause jobs. None of the energy efficient lightbulbs, (you know the ones that are made with mercury in them), are made in the U.S. The last light bulb factory in the U.S. closed down a couple of weeks ago. On the same note, our government just gave I believe it was $2 billion dollars to Korea to make the light bulbs.

How many of you see that we are fighting for our lives here? We are in the grips of people who want a New World Order and the only way to achieve this is to strap us in our pocketbooks, our food supply, our housing, the water we drink and even the air we breath. This is not something they just thought of. This plan was thought of way back with WW II. It's a plan that's been in the works among all world governments. Hitler was in on it, China's goods are now inferior in quality, (it wasn't like that when I was there in 1978), and killing us every which way, (i.e. rat poison, lead poisoning, inferior merchandise below UL standards, etc.).

There is another reason for all this, but I am not at liberty to disclose it. No one has talked about it anywhere yet. Well I did read some things about it in other forums, but I will not discuss it out in the open and my info didn't come from those other forums.

We would have been facing these problems no matter who was elected into office. However, we are facing them now at a much more advanced pace.

To our freedom,

Helene

Mark Kirk, House Republican from IL who voted YES for Cap & Trade is now running for the SENATE seat in IL. I will NOT vote for him. Everyone from ILLINOIS contact him and let him know how you feel.
Carolyn Dawson Comment by Carolyn Dawson on August 27, 2009 at 1:33am
Cap and Trade is not about the environment. I was a greenie when I thought it was about my grandparents sort of way of life. Use and reuse what you have because there's no going to the store to get it kind of thing. Every green product made has some sort of non green way of producing it or disposing of it. Bottom line- It is about money and control. Go Green by saving your cash and growing a brain! CAP AND TRADE MUST NOT PASS.
