Comment by Aly Mey on February 29, 2012 at 12:37pm Does anyone who lives in Rick Larsen's district know of someone who is willing to run against him? He's running unopposed! (That, in and of itself, is a shame!)
Comment by Freeexpat on November 13, 2011 at 4:22pm Wow.
Thanks Catherine.
CAIR was invited to speak by our illustrious Executive...dispite many emails in opposition, which I forwarded to the Executive, The Executive office has pretty much blown off the opposition to CAIR and they intend to go forward....it is being offered to County employees. Pretty much a clueless lot down in the Ex's office!
The italicized portion is a direct response from one of the County Council members.
I can do that as I have access to one of the council members.
Comment by Freeexpat on November 12, 2011 at 3:41pm Ok.
I have all the same info as you, except that the training was being held FOR the benefit of the County Council and they would be in attendance.
Am trying to find out who this training is REALLY for.
I was informed this was open to public. I will attempt to attend.
If you get any more info in regards to this, would you mind updating me?
Thank You :)
The County Council did not request this training nor is it being held on their behalf. They did not participate in initiating this training. The training is specifically sponsored by the Exec. and the Diversity Council and it is that group who decided on asking CAIR to speak. I don't know who the the audience is supposed to be whether just county employees or open to the public.
Comment by Freeexpat on November 12, 2011 at 1:36pm The information I received said this training was FOR the County Council and that Executive Aaron Reardon's office made the choice to use CAIR. I thought this statement was clear in my comment?
I also stated that I did direct my complaints to his office and supplied the email link directly to him. As well as to the council itself who was to receive this training. I got replies back directly from 1 council member and the Chief of Staff asking me to go directly to Aaron Reardon w/concerns.
Was this not correct?
Julia, It is not the Council by the Executive Branch of Snohomish county. The announcement I received did not list the County Council as a sponsor of this event.
The Snohomish County Executive’s office (Aaron Reardon) and the Snohomish County Diversity Council are hosting the afternoon (Nov 14) with CAIR (see message from the County Executive below). It is NOT being hosted by the Snohomish County Council. Please direct your complaints to Aaron Reardon’s office:

Comment by Freeexpat on November 12, 2011 at 12:51pm FYI:
The Snohomish County Council is having "Tolorance Training" conducted by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) on Monday Nov.14,2011.
I have already emailed the Snohomish County Council (contact.council@snoco.org) and Executive Aaron Reardon (county.executive@snoco.org), who chose CAIR to conduct this training. My email expressed my deep concern about their choice to use CAIR (unindicted co-conspirator, with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood).
Please spread the word to anyone interested in a great Constitution DVD class we are offering in Edmonds. We have just finished presenting the first one and the feedback from participants is fantastic. We have approval to offer again on Monday night, 7 to 9 pm, starting 5/2. Goes until 6/6 due to Memorial Day holiday. To register, please contact salt-and-light@comast.net. The series is hosted by Rick Green and endorsed by David Barton of Wallbuilders. Good stuff!
