My district 57 is in trouble as well. We are, for the most part, Leon and Madison counties above Huntsville. We do have as our rep a Jim Dunnam. I have sent him some emails, but he is very vague on his stances and his website is not much better. I sent him back an email stating that we are not standing for passive representatives any more and that I would work for his non-reelection. So, if there's anyone in these two counties that feel the same way, contact me through this website please.

Do you agree that we need to elect fiscally responsible people to Congress? Do you agree that we need to elect someone who will step up and lead - not hang back for 13 years and only come out during election years? Do you agree that we need someone who shares the same family values as the vast majority of us do?

If you do agree then you need to check out Mike Brasovan and help us send him to Congress. Mike is taking on an entrenched money wasting, pork-barrel spending, earmarking, pro-choice incumbent. This incumbent has very low ratings with Club for Growth and Citizens Against Government Waste. The incumbent brought home some bacon for a huge local project that most people don't want. Now her son is running the project with a nice big salary.

Mike needs your help! If you can email anyone who is concerned about the direction of our country please do. If you can afford to make a contribution, of any size, please do. Let's not not the liberal win this time like in NY-23. Help us get rid of the "moderate Republican" (RINO) so the real conservative can win!

Please call Rick Perry's office and tell him to man up and engage in public debate with ALL the gubernatorial candidates Phone: (512) 478-3276 - we are paying his salary, he needs to show up, debate with all the others and let us know where he really stands. Tell Mr. Perry to quit cancelling out of public debates!

for Mr. DeWitt - why in the world hasn't Rick Perry already called a special session - WHAT IS HE WAITING FOR???? Why are we having to pound so hard on his door to get him to take action to protect the citizens of our State from the gross infringement of the federal government? I am posting this call to action because it appears that our attacks on the US congress are being ignored. Perhaps we have misdirected our efforts by going after congress. The federal government derives its power from the states. Our government works from the bottom up. It is becoming apparent that we need to pressure not the congress but the state legislature and the governors.

We at VOA are suggesting a new attack on the state level where I suspect they will be more likley to listen. Dick Morris has previously released figures on the large state tax increases that will be needed in the states to support healthcare. It would be political poison for state officials. So, they have an added reason to listen to our pressures. They are also closer to home and more likley to feel our pressures.

My suggestion is to use nullification by the states. It is too long to post here, so I have posted it on our web site at www.americanvote.info The article titled "A CALL TO ACTION" is where it is found.

I am asking the tea party group leaders in each state to initiate this within you group and your state. Members can get friends to sign petitions. Even people who are not active in the fight but want to stop this bill can get behind this. If we get even half of the states to nullify, the bill...and others are dead. They cannot support them if the states refuse to comply.

We need activists in every state to push this. Several states are already trying to re-exert state sovereignty. This will show our support for just that. I ask all, individuals and groups alike to join in this effort. Letters, faxes, petititons, every thing we did to congress and more so. We need your help guys.

On Wednesday, October 14, 2009, the Obama administration took its first major step in a plan to ban all firearms in the United States. The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms.

The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.

This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control.

Anyone who owns a gun needs to join the NRA. If they don’t know about this…someone with a membership needs to get this information to them. Silence will lead us to socialism."
