I am posting this call to action because it appears that our attacks on the US congress are being ignored. Perhaps we have misdirected our efforts by going after congress. The federal government derives its power from the states. Our government works from the bottom up. It is becoming apparent that we need to pressure not the congress but the state legislature and the governors.

We at VOA are suggesting a new attack on the state level where I suspect they will be more likley to listen. Dick Morris has previously released figures on the large state tax increases that will be needed in the states to support healthcare. It would be political poison for state officials. So, they have an added reason to listen to our pressures. They are also closer to home and more likley to feel our pressures.

My suggestion is to use nullification by the states. It is too long to post here, so I have posted it on our web site at www.americanvote.info The article titled "A CALL TO ACTION" is where it is found.

I am asking the tea party group leaders in each state to initiate this within you group and your state. Members can get friends to sign petitions. Even people who are not active in the fight but want to stop this bill can get behind this. If we get even half of the states to nullify, the bill...and others are dead. They cannot support them if the states refuse to comply.

We need activists in every state to push this. Several states are already trying to re-exert state sovereignty. This will show our support for just that. I ask all, individuals and groups alike to join in this effort. Letters, faxes, petititons, every thing we did to congress and more so. We need your help guys.

This bill, if enacted, should fund a search for a new National Anthem; for we will certainly no longer be the "land of the free."

This is a link to a health care bill handout that can be circulated to spread the word on the details of this bill. It is a good one. Let's turn up the heat! Send it to governors and state legislators. This bill is a killer for many states.

Attendees of the Oakland City Hall meeting should have a copy of First Reports Evaluating the Effectiveness of Strategies for Preventing Violence: Firearms Laws, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, October 3, 2003 to present to the Council and local media. I got my copy off CDC&P’s web-site some time go. Gun laws are the second part of the report. It is a peer-review of scientific studies on America’s gun-laws that could find NO EVIDENCE that any gun law reviewed accomplished whatever it was intended to accomplish. Does Oakland’s City Council believe re-enacting some failed law will produce a different result? Is it not called “insanity” when someone does something over and over, expecting different results?

There are, however, many scientific studies showing harm - including deaths of innocents and rises in violent crime rates, that gun-control laws have clearly been responsible for:
The Failed Experiment: Gun Control and Public Safety in Canada, Australia, England and Wales, Professor Gary A. Mauser, Ph.D., November 2003 issue of Public Policy Sources, University of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
Would Banning Firearms Reduce Murder and Suicide? A Review of International Evidence, by Prof. Don Kates (of the United States) & Prof. Gary Mauser (of Canada), Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy (pages 649-694), 2007: A detailed look at gun ownership and how it does not relate to the incidence of murder and violence. They conclude that “nations with very stringent anti-gun laws generally have substantially higher murder rates than those which allow guns.” Gun ownership is not the problem, and this report proves it.

There is a wealth of still-growing scientific studies supporting the wisdom of armed citizenries. NO scientific study worthy of the name shows otherwise.

NRA Files Brief in McDonald v. Chicago

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

On November 16, the NRA filed its brief with the U.S. Supreme Court as Respondent in Support of Petitioner in McDonald v. City of Chicago. The NRA brief asks the U.S. Supreme Court to hold that the Second Amendment applies to state and local governments through the Fourteenth Amendment.

In September, the Supreme Court agreed to consider the McDonald case, on appeal from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. That court incorrectly claimed that prior Supreme Court precedent prevented it from holding in favor of incorporation of the Second Amendment. As we argued at the time, the Seventh Circuit should have followed the lead of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decision in Nordyke v. King, which found that Supreme Court precedent does not prevent the Second Amendment from applying to the states through the Fourteenth Amendment’s Due Process Clause.

As a party in McDonald, the NRA is actively involved in this case and we believe the brief makes a clear and strong case in favor of incorporation of the Second Amendment. Read the brief here: http://www.nraila.org/pdfs/NRA08-1521.pdf

I've seen nothing yet that is not compatable with the Cloward-Piven Strategy of Orchestrated Crisis, to overextend and bring down Government. That's the strategy Obama and his ilk have worked toward all his adult life - Glenn Beck has identified many such radicals still around Obama as close advisors; destructive treaties are but another tool to bring down "the Great Satan."

Obama's oath of office?

hadith Bukhari, vol. 8, book 73, no. 73 - (Mohammed) “A Muslim who swears a false oath by the god of another religion is not obligated to fulfill that promise because he cannot be bound by a faith he does not hold.”

How many of your legislators or favorite talk-show hosts have any clue about Islamic doctrine - or that Islam can be reasonably described as Communism with a deity/god-head?

What part of "shall not be infringed" and "sovereign nation" do our Commisociomarximaoists not understand? Frances says it all:"On
Wednesday the Obama administration took its first major step in a plan
to ban all firearms in the United States. The Obama administration
intends to force gun control and a complete ban on......
all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international
treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun
control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to
bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US
Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be
subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are
laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the
United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael
Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete
ban and confiscation of all firearms."
