I am a real estate loan officer in Missoula, Montana...or was until my husband made me quit my job because he didn't want anyone to see the bruises he was leaving on my face. He tried to break my neck in January and I was finally able to get him out of my home in June. The doctor I had at the time (no insurance any longer) advised that I have fusion surgery because of the injuries, but I can't do that...I have to find a job so that we can live. I have an Order of Protection against him. He is trying to evict my 85 year old mother, my two kids and I from our home, even though my mom's name and my name are on the deed as well as his. He is paying the mortgage because he doesn't want his credit ruined. I want to be able to pay the mortgage myself and get him out of my life forever. I need to go back to work in order to keep our home, but my job history has been spotty because of the abuse. I am a good loan officer, but I can't find a job because how do you explain domestic violence? I was told be Job Service not to be truthful about the situation, but I can't lie about it. I would take on two jobs right now if I could just find something...does anyone have any suggestions?

Like thousands of Americans, I find myself in the midst of a forced career change. After being laid off my job in fashion watch and jewelry industry I jumped industries and started a home staging business (www.anotherlook.us).

While I find this work greatly rewarding, building new real estate relationships and business in the current economy has been very challenging over this past year. I hope to continue staging and consulting part time but I am looking for work (preferably full time) in the NYC metro area that will provide steadier work and income.

I am a quick study, and a firm believer in hard work and perseverance. My resume, which includes both wholesale and retail sales, management and merchandising experience, demonstrates the breadth and flexibility of my abilities. Throughout my career I have pioneered new business, and excelled in cultivating long-term relationships in order to build company revenue.
