OBAMA COMING TO ALLENTOWN AREA FRIDAY

Join us also on Face Book: Pennsylvania SGP

ACTION ALERT (Info from PA TeaParty Patriots)

OBAMA COMING TO ALLENTOWN AREA

OBAMA is coming to the Lehigh Carbon Community College in Schnecksville on Friday 12/4.
It is urgent that everyone that is available shows up. We need to make a huge impact. There will be groups from New York, New Jersey, Delaware as well as PA. We hope to see you there.

Obama's visit to LCCC (Lehigh Carbon Community College) on Route 309 in Schnecksville seems confirmed for 11:45AM from a multitude of sources. ( This is the most well-known and the biggest stop on Obama's tour on Friday. Link to a Google Map is below:

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Lehigh+Carbon+Community+College&hl=en&cd=1&ei=BLwVS_mfNaqWyASo1-1d&sig2=lUw8cN3JIvO6wT9KcqbraA&sll=40.662619,-75.610855&sspn=0.410356,0.72791&ie=UTF8&view=map&cid=5481696212949119388&ved=0CBQQpQY&hq=Lehigh+Carbon+Community+College&hnear=&ll=40.66508,-75.61085&spn=0.026368,0.076818&z=14

Plan on being there early (9:00am). Dress warm! We'll be outside for a while! Parking is an issue. Berks County Tea Party Patriots will try to have people there to point you to parking. Here are possible parking areas. The first place to try, if you get there early enough is in the Community College itself. There is some limited public parking. However, you may have to go to the other areas we have identified. Such as ¾ mile North on 309 is a Grocery store.
Driving North on 309, To the right of the entrance to the LCCC( which is on your left) on Sand Hill Rd is an elementary school and some businesses past that. There is also street parking beyond that.

Here is the google link: http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Schnecksville&state=PA&address=Park+View+Dr+%26+Sand+Spring+Rd&zipcode=18078&country=US&latitude=40.66974&longitude=-75.60077&geocode=INTERSECTION
FYI: His plane will arrive about 10:20. In any event, Obama is scheduled to arrive around11AM at the LCCC. Then he will speak to around 11:50 or so. Since the facility can handle only a certain amount of ralliers, the contingency plan is to go to the Airport and then some to HAMFAM Restaurant at 1:30.

After leaving LCCC, we understand that Obama will be having lunch at the "Ham Fam" Diner at 2027 W Hamilton St. We estimate this happening between 1:00-1:30PM. Map link below:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Hamilton+Family+Restaurant&sll=40.66508,-75.61085&sspn=0.026368,0.076818&ie=UTF8&hq=Hamilton+Family+Restaurant&hnear=&ll=40.634278,-75.555038&spn=0.105519,0.307274&z=12

As for the restaurant, we have been told that it is very unusual for the restaurant to be listed on the schedule. He might not show up at the restaurant. So it is up to you whether to go to the restaurant or not.

Various conservative groups plan to meet at 8:00am at Lehigh Valley Airport for staging instructions.

I and some others are trying to organize a Black Friday Blitz - getting up early to hand out information on the disastrous nature of the House and Senate health care bills. The rationale is this:
1. People are already in line, so it's easy to quickly distribute a lot of pamphlets.
2. People are unlikely to walk away because they don't want to lose their place in line.
3. People will probably be somewhat bored and, therefore, more likely to read literature given to them.
4. People will already be thinking about money (saving it, that is!).
5. It's easy to argue that if one is willing to wait in line for hours to save a couple hundred of dollars, making a 5-minute phone call to save yourself thousands of dollars shouldn't be a problem.

Tracy Bengston started a discussion post on the main page of the site. Her idea was to have retirement parties or send cards to their members of the senate who are voting "yes" on this bill. This is an awesome idea.....we could use this week to do this and send a msg to them that we are not as stupid as they think

Hi Audrie...I hope you are feeling better soon. Holidays are creeping up on us.

Yes I went to the rally. I was with some friends I've made through another group and we now seem to do the rally circuit together. They live in the Camp Hill area and have been to other rallies held at the State House. We all felt it was kind of a lackluster event. I thought the turnout was low as did they compared to other events they've been to in Harrisburg. The MSM seems to be reporting it a success. Now isn't that a switch!! A fellow in the PA group with ResistNet felt the same as we did. The enthusiasm just seemed down. I didn't come away feeling as energized as I usually do and I felt disappointed in our fellow Pennsylvanians. There are over 12 million in this state and MSM reports 1,500 to 2,000 showing which seemed high to me but I'm not really a good judge of this type of thing. If it was 2,000 that doesn't seem like a good showing for our population. I think our Representatives are getting desesitized to us so we need to crank up the numbers of those who attend these rallies. My sincere wish is that we have millions clogging the streets of DC so much so that we shut it down. Now these might be numbers they would take notice to. I'm just at a loss on how to get people engaged and have even started asking some of my close gal pals, who have not been to DC yet or any other rally, what it would take to get them engaged and standing up with us. No news to report yet.

Feel better soon!!

Chris, I'm curious to know too. I ended up still in bed with whatever virus this is I have and couldn't get to the rally. Am still unable to talk (but I can type). I hope SGPers were there. Let us know if you were and how the event went.

Just curious....how many were at the rally in Harrisburg Saturday and what did you think?

Found this link for Sam Rohrer's voting record. Might as well start doing our homework.

Obama is coming to Allentown in December on his "tour down main street" or whatever it is called to talk about "jobs". Anyone planning anything related to this? not sure what at this moment

We need some vigorous, strong, conservative women who will stand. I know they're out there !

I'm not sure what all will go on with Rep. Gerlach's seat. Because of the dynamics of the district, that could be trouble. I'd sure hate to lose that one. We came very close in 2004 and 2006 with the Gerlach vs Murphy races.
