Anybody ready to step up?

So far we have four committed District Coordinators (1, 4, 6, 10). That leaves 9 vacant spots to fill. And under each of those are numerous town criers. If you're one of the many wondering what you can do now, this is your chance. A major time commitment is not required -- just a commitment to bring some sense back into the political arena. Most of you are already doing research on specific issues, candidates, or incumbents. The next step would be to "funnel" your findings to your District Coordinator or to me (your State Coordinator)

I encourage your input, insight, participation, etc. Specifically I am looking for two things immediately:
1. One person from each of NC's 13 congressional districts to be the District Coordinator (ask me for details)
2. Many people from each city/district to be "Town Criers" -- people on the lookout for pertinent political issues that may be specific to your area -- someone to field information up to the District Coordinator, then to me.

I wanted to copy you in on our latest site tracker data, we have seen a huge expansion in visitors to CP-NC this month. Also, I got a call last night from a campaign staffer representing Tim D'Annunzio, who seeks to unseat Larry Kissell for the eighth congressional district. They wanted to know if they could count on our support, I replied that I would forward this request to you.. I realize most of you would not be directly affected, but if you would please, encourage your friends and family who may be to seek out his positions on issues that they care about. The fallacy of “Big Tent” Politics

Diversity and Inclusion…Racism and Greed…The very core of the arguments I hear most often against conservatives. Democratic and Republican Leaders alike, and most high profile media types, are telling us that we need political parties that are diverse and all inclusive. At the same time, they categorize American citizens into groups and then sub-groups that we must reach out for. It’s as if they would have us believe there are no possibilities that racially and ethnically diverse peoples could embrace conservatism.

I could not agree more that diversity and inclusion contribute to a healthier and more robust community and economy. I also believe that the establishment of the Conservative Party puts this political topic to rest for good. Consider the first of the party’s core principles. The individual is sovereign. We are the kings of our own castles so to speak, responsible for the persons and contents therein.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Regardless of what your concept of your Creator is, the minds of men could grasp no clearer statement of respect for racial diversity, or the desire for the inclusion of all regardless of ethnicity.

Racism has and does exist in America, but we cannot change yesterday, we can only move forward through today, and hope for a better tomorrow. In every community, and in every state you could find some level of bigotry and hatred, if you chose to look for it. But it is the person who labels an American citizen by ethnicity that is promoting racism. I am not talking about the simple observation that a person is black or white or brown, I am talking about anyone who categorizes groups of American citizens for political purposes.

I believe it is illogical to suggest that disagreement or criticism of an ideological position, is equivalent to racism, in the same way that I believe it is illogical to suggest that the accumulation of wealth by good stewardship, through legal business activities is equivalent to greed. Without a doubt greed also exists in America. However, where there is greed, there is also charity. Where there is bigotry there is also tolerance. These are not political issues.

These issues are questions of morality, and therefore find no answers through public discussion. The answers will be found within the hearts of our individual citizens

I had noticed the RHINO/RINO slip, but I knew you intent. I am not so full of myself that I would respond to anyone’s comments as to cause him or her discomfort.

I am on the side of any conservative who will put themselves out there, let them step forward and I'll support them all the way, I will rally my friends and family and anyone else I can convince. I don't want BHO in office! He is certainly transforming America, just like he advertised. The Republican Party went off the rails, no doubt, but the differences between them and the Marxist in the White House and Congress are stark. I don't want the Big Tent, but I do want to win, and I want a call to all conservatives to come forward and reclaim the Republican Party. I think that will happen, I have never been "off my couch" before, but I am now and I have been talking to anyone who will listen, totally out of character for me. So, if I am paying attention, then I am one of millions and millions others who are also paying attention. So, I am on board, respectfully, with the re-establishment of conservatism and a revitalized Republican party to take back the congress, and the WH, and we are only going to do that with true conservative candidates. We are in the fight of our lives for our country and the future of our children.

Dr. Samuels and Ms. Rodrigues,
I respect your voices and agree that we should be targeting progressives from both sides of the isle. You should know that I would not advocate pulling support from a genuine conservative, regardless of party affiliation. Having said that, and speaking for myself only, I have turned my back on the Republican Party and intend to do all in my limited power to re-establish the limits and boundaries of government as established in our founding documents. It is my hope that while we can acknowledge differences in personal philosophies, we could join together in defeating socialist/progressive agendas at all levels of government.

A conservative third party would guarantee the election of liberals. Reagan said it correctly, we do not need a third party, we need to take back the Republican party. If you look at the Hoffman run in NY, the Republican nominee dropped out. I don't think it would have been that close if she stayed in. A third party splits the votes of conservatives and independents. Now is our chance to win Independent and woo back Conservatives to the Republican party by sending our message to the Republican party. Run conservatives in the primaries against RHINOS, vote the RHINOS out. If there is no RHINO already in office, then run only conservatives. A prime example is the Senate seat with McCain. Run a conservative against him in the primary and vote him out.

I am in the belief/opinion that while the Republican Party has to shape up and reform itself, that a third party will give Obama a second term and all will be lost to the point of no return. I would like to see the conservative movement reclaim the Republican Party. I would like to see the candidates emerge that reflects the conservative movement. Winning is the only way to stop this government take over by the left, if we wait, we will never be able to repeal all of this government intrusion into our lives. The time is now and it is of the essence.
