Romney takes delegates. It's his Al Gore moment in Michigan. But for a delegate a candidate will transgress. The sad thing is that he didn't need to do it. He's way ahead in delegates but he wasn't willing to let the process play out. All because he's insecure and didn't like hearing Santorum say they tied. Good grief. Santorum may woo democrats to vote for him but Romney is acting like one.

Romney's team knew the rules for dividing delegates and it was based on a mathematical calculation for dividing the "at large" delegates. That calculation resulted in Romney receiving 1.04 delegates and Santorum receiving 0.9 delegates. According to the rules rounding to the nearest whole number was required and each candidate given 1 delegate. Thus the 15-15 split that Romney's camp didin't like. And they voted to "clairfy" the rules which resulted in a 16-14 allocation.

RightMichigan is doing a great job staying on the facts and fiction that is being put out there.

I just received this email from the Rick Santorum campaign. I am not surprised that Mitt Romney is as corrupt as Obama, and thinks nothing of stealing elections. Mitt tried to steal Iowa from Rick, but did not succeed. Will the people of Michigan stand up to election fraud, and demand legitimate results?

There is breaking news about an election scandal in Michigan.

ABC News headline states: "Michigan GOP Changes Delegate Rules, Gives Primary Edge to Romney" and the Associated Press states "Michigan GOP changes delegate award after vote."

Last night there was an unannounced closed-door secret meeting of the Michigan Republican Party credentialing committee. During the meeting, they voted 4 to 2 to allocate delegates differently than was previously stated in a memorandum that was issued to all of the campaigns. One of the 2 dissenting votes was Former Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox, a Romney supporter, who stated: "I have this crazy idea that you follow the rules. I'd love to give the at-large delegates to Mitt Romney, but our rules provide for strict apportionment."

We’ve all heard rumors that Mitt Romney was furious that he spent a fortune in his home state, had all the political establishment connections and could only tie Rick Santorum. It appears that he has now called on those establishment connections to orchestrate a back room deal to allocate additional delegates to him that he did not earn.

Changing the rules after the election is something that happens in Iran, but not in America. This type of political maneuvering should not be tolerated.

Please stay tuned as we learn more about what the Romney campaign "establishment" insiders are up to in Michigan.

Regardless of who wins the nomination we need to build our support of the Republican candidate.  I don't want to bash Rick, Newt or Ron but I am a Romney supporter and don't like it when we attack our own party.  We have to stand strong and defeat Obama who is the true target.  Don't lose sight of what we are trying to achieve in the long run - OBAMA NO MORE!

Karen, thanks. I am not in Twitter so cannot follow you, but by all means, please go see Rick in person! I went to several of his campaign events in Florida, and had the pleasure of meeting both him and his daughter Elizabeth personally. Rick is the real deal. We're looking forward to a full report, and hopefully pictures! : )

Whether or not you like Santorum, let's be fair. He IS a conservative. I think some of these quotes are being taken out of context. We do licence drivers of cars, so that doesnt make him a flaming progressive! As to 2006: Who DIDN'T lost that year?! Especially in a blue state!
