Comment by Marcia Chambliss on February 27, 2012 at 5:26pm Health Care Compacts will be a tool for states to take back our Health Care, remove power from Washington, and be a catalyst for real reform instead of a bigger, more intrusive federal government.
If you live in or around Montgomery, the Montgomery County GOP is hosting a presentation that will further explain the legislation (SB258 & HB43) currently moving through the Alabama Legislature this Thursday, March 1 at 6:30 p.m. and given by Michael Power, co-founder of the Alabama Freedom Alliance and the Alabama state coordinator for the Health Care Compact Alliance. The presentation is open to the public and will be held at Homewood Suites located on Interstate Park Drive in Montgomery.

Comment by Marcia Chambliss on January 31, 2012 at 8:12pm We're a week away from the 2012 Alabama Legislative Session and it is likely to once again be an active session. School choice will be a huge issue during this session as charter schools will be high on the GOP legislative agenda.
Once again, conservative groups across the state will be gathering at the Alabama State House for a "Welcome Back Rally" next Tuesday, Feb. 7th, from 11:00 a.m. to Noon. More than ever, our elected officials need to see that conservatives are NOT going anywhere and that we're just as engaged as we were when the Tea Party Movement began. If you are able to attend, take advantage of the opportunity to meet with your representative and senator. (Please schedule appointments in advance.)
Hope you can join other conservatives next Tuesday! Please let me know if you are planning to be there!
