How about having the organizers contacting the local law enforcement agencies with objective, credible information (I would say a Fox News Anchor like Cavuto would count) to voice the conerns about purposely disruptive groups ahead of time and also to get any ideas they have about controlling that sort of thing.
Also preemptively, how about getting out to any receptive media that the Tea Party organizers have gotten wind of plans to disrupt the event and ask for all attendees to keep in line. With this strategy, I would not name particular groups such as Acorn lest you tread into defamation territory.
Thirdly, to protect Smart Girl Politics, what about members wearing either pink or black (choose one) as a symbol and to be easily recognizable.
Notifying local law enforcement is a good idea...anyone have connections they might listen to?
Don't forget to bring your video cameras! Just be sure you don't engage them verbally and just allow them to perform for you so you have your own evidence to CYA!!
They'll have their vid cams and will be looking for some to take their bait.
Made me a couple of these babies too...just in case. Doing my part to piss of the liberal left:
I believe that if someone is carrying or wearing racist, violent, or other inflammatory signage, or begins to behave in a disruptive manner, that they should immediately be identified by pointing and chanting, "ACORN! ACORN! ACORN!" or "THUGS! THUGS! ACORN THUGS!" It will catch the attention of those around the person, and thus will separate the person from those of genuine tea party members.
I'm just thinking of how to deal with this threat.
